Muhsin Muhammad and Peter Leeke

September/October 2009 - Charlotte Living magazine

The Football Player and the Englishman. Just outside Charlotte, sprawling across 50 peaceful acres near a famous old gold mine, a very special neighborhood is coming to life. It is the
culmination of a longtime dream for a favorite Carolina Panther. It's also a crowning achievement for one of the area's top luxury home builders, a British transplant who builds to European standards. They're calling it The Estates at Soen.
Charlotte Business Journal article on Brian Provine

March 2009 - Charlotte Business Journal

Super Superintentent. Home Builders Association salutes Brian Provine for overseeing construction of custom homes. Christine Gonzales has never built a custom home before, but she is in good hands with project superintendent Brian Provine. The best in the Charlotte area, in fact. So says the Home Builders Association of Charlotte, which named Provine the superintendent of the year for 2008 in the custom-builder category. The award recognizes a superintendent's ability to run an efficient, safe and clean job site and the overall quality of the work.
2008 St Judes Charity Home in Stonegate

Summer 2008 - Charlotte Living magazine

The Community Comes Together for the Children. St. Jude is the only funded National Cancer Institute devoted solely to children. For over 45 years, st. Jude has taken on many of the most difficult and underserved pediatric diseases. Offering hope to families in crisis, there is never a waiting list nor is any child ever turned away because of nationality, race, religion or the ability to pay. Not only does st. Jude pay for all medical care, but they also pay for lodging, food and travel for the patient and one parent.

Fit for a King. When Suzanne and Richard Gordon were ready to move from Statesville and build on a lot on Lake Norman, Suzanne knew she wanted an Old Wold home. The attraction was not so much the soaring ceilings or the extensive detailing or the current rage for European styles in the custom market. She simply wanted true English charm. The key was to find the right builder that could deliver an authentic product. Other builders said that they could do that look, but why would I want anyone other than someone that grew up with that type of house.
Charlotte Observer New Home article

September 2006 - Charlotte Observer / New Home Section

From Supersized to Downsized. High-end buyers trading enormous houses for big ones with plenty of fancy touches. Luxury home buyers, especially empty nesters, are increasingly choosing smaller homes. They still enjoy luxury – and some of these smaller homes are twice as big as the average house – but builders say more high-end buyers are choosing amenities over rooms they’ll never use. Instead of an extra 2,000 square feet, for instance, they’re choosing extra extravagances: gourmet kitchens, ornate moldings, exotic hardwood flooring.
2005 March of Dimes Charity House at The Point

May 2005 - SouthPark magazine

Nuance of Nantucket - Everything about the 2005 March of Dimes spring showhouse suggests that it was transported straight from the cobblestone streets of Nantucket. But readers will be pleased to learn that it's actually at The Point on Lake Norman, a community inspired by the charming New England town. The setting for this year's showhouse is as breathtaking as the home itself. Kingswood Custom Homes built the cedar shake and stone house in a section of The Point where only Nantucket architecture is permitted.
March of Dimes Home 2005

April 2005 - Charlotte Observer / New Home Section

Fresh, airy beach chic.—“A Taste of Nantucket” is the official theme for this year’s March of Dimes Showhouse, but the inspiration for the oh-so-elegant cottage actually came from the Long Island shore. The chic Hamptons beach home featured in the 2003 film “Something’s Gotta Give” served as muse for those who created this home in The Point at Lake Norman. Visitors to the 4,583-square-foot showhouse won’t catch Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton engaged in witty romantic banter, but they will experience the beachy, crisp feel created by the dark, wide-plank floors and cool blue hues from the movie-set house.
Best of Lake Norman Award

November 2004 - Charlotte Observer / New Home Section

Jewels by the water. Best of Lake Norman competition celebrates variety, excellence. The Lake Norman Home Builders wanted to reflect diversity and recognize top-notch work with their first annual Best of Lake Norman competition. They accomplished both. The competition categories ranged from grand new homes to innovative renovations, from “curb appeal” to “unique feature.” And pictures of winning projects capture the quality. Curb Appeal: Peter Leeke of Kingswood Custom Homes. Leeke also won second place in the same category.
March of Domes Homes 2004

April 2004 - Charlotte Observer / Home Section

Comfortable, elegant and oh-so-British. On March of Dimes tour, you’ll step into a Tudor-style country cottage – with a Peter Pan theme for the kids. Designer Robbie Warren began work on the March of Dimes showhouse with a clear vision: The “Heart and Home” tour would feature an English country cottage reflecting the British heritage of Pete and Louise Leeke, whose Kingswood Homes built the house. The house would feel like a place where generations of a sophisticated, well-traveled family display collected treasures and elegantly celebrate such milestones as births and weddings.
